How long does a silicone replacement take?
It usually takes around 2–3 hours, depending on the condition of the surface, level of contamination, and complexity of the job. For multiple rooms or more complex tasks, it can take up to 5–6 hours.
When can I use the bath/shower again after the work is completed?
Drying time depends on the type of area:
- Kitchen (behind sinks, around countertops): approx. 4–5 hours
- Bathtub or shower tray: minimum 12–14 hours, but in some cases up to 24 hours may be needed
What colours can I choose for the silicone?
The standard colours are white, clear, grey, and black – these are the most popular options. We always confirm this in advance and help you choose the one that best matches your surroundings. Many other colours are also available and can be selected from a colour chart.
What if the silicone starts to peel off within a few days?
This is very rare – in 99% of cases, there have been no issues. But we offer a 15-day quick service guarantee on all our work. If there’s a problem, we’ll return within 48 hours and fix it free of charge.

When is Trim better than silicone alone?
A uPVC Trim solution is typically recommended when a traditional silicone seal is unlikely to provide a long-lasting result.
This is especially common in situations where:
- larger gaps need to be sealed between a bath, shower tray, or wall tiles
- mould has repeatedly returned in the same area
- bathroom ventilation is poor
- previous silicone has regularly cracked or detached
- the sealed edge is subject to movement or heavy water exposure
A uPVC Trim creates a stronger and more structured finish that:
- covers wider or uneven gaps more effectively
- provides a cleaner, more refined edge detail
- offers a significantly stronger and more durable solution compared to silicone alone
- is less prone to rapid mould return in challenging environments
- is easy to keep clean and maintain
However, Trim is not required in every situation.
In many cases, professional surface preparation combined with premium-grade silicone can provide a reliable and long-lasting result on its own.

What is included in the optional Trim Protection Plan?
The optional Trim Protection Plan is a premium extended workmanship guarantee available exclusively for selected uPVC Trim installations.
Protection is available from £49 and can only be purchased after the work has been completed, at the time the invoice is issued.
The Trim Protection period lasts 12 months (365 days) from the date of installation.
It does not extend the standard 15-day guarantee – both run concurrently from the official completion date.
Eligibility is always subject to a professional on-site assessment at the time of installation.
